Celebrating 25 years of science-informed solutions

A national project aimed at better predicting, preventing and managing health conditions prevalent in Black peoples was launched in January at SickKids in Toronto. People of African descent have the most diverse genomes on the planet, yet they are significantly underrepresented in genomic databases. Genome Atlantic is a proud partner in genCARE, a precision health project to sequence the genomes of 11,100 Black peoples in Canada.
