Genomics & Mining

Mining may seem like the least likely place to use genomics. But invisible to the naked eye, there are billions of microscopic organisms such as bacteria that play a role in a number of processes in this sector from bioremediation to extraction and corrosion. Genomics helps us look at their DNA and understand what makes them tick so we can manage their impact more effectively.
